The Il Segno Social Cooperative and the Diocese of Cefalù are pleased to announce the reopening of the tour routes of the Cathedral of Cefalù starting from Saturday 22 May 2021.
After the period of pause due to the winter season and to the respect of the ministerial decrees in force, the tour routes start again with great enthusiasm that will allow visitors to enjoy the cultural beauties of the Cathedral, living a unique emotional experience among treasures of inestimable value, architecture. of rare workmanship and exceptional points of view.
The Towers, in fact, allow you to savor an extraordinary panorama that opens above the roofs of the city at 360˚ between the Rocca and the sea; the Diocesan Museum set up inside the Chapter Hall preserves over a hundred artifacts of singular beauty!
There are many innovations present within the routes, with the aim of making them more dynamic and interactive, guiding the visitor to discover the secrets of the Cathedral!
From Saturday 22 May 2021 visits will be allowed every day from 10.00 to 13.00 and from 15.00 to 18.00.
The visiting tours are divided into three itineraries. The Red Tour includes the complete visit that starting from the Towers and Roofs of the Basilica extends to the area of the Mosaics, and then from the Sacristy winds through the rooms of the Bishop’s Palace up to the wonderful Canonic Cloister. The Blue Tour is the quick visit that gives access to Towers, Roofs and Mosaics, while the Green Tour includes the path that goes from the Sacristy to the Canonical Cloister.
In order to carry out the visits ensuring the correct interpersonal distancing measures between visitors, the entrances will be limited in compliance with safety protocols and current regulations. It is mandatory to wear a mask during the entire visit.
